Rubik’s Cube – More Than a Promotional Toy

Invented in 1974, the Rubik’s Cube (named for its Hungarian creator Erno Rubik) is considered to be the world’s best-selling toy with 350 million cubes sold worldwide as of January 2009. Custom printed with your company’s name and logo on one side, this little puzzle also makes a great promotional toy.

“The Space Invader” artist is now using Rubik’s Cubes to create his next masterpieces for a project entitled “Rubikcubism.” “The Space Invader” is a French street artist who started “invading” cities around the world in the 1990s, installing mosaics inspired by the arcade video game Space Invaders. The themes for his work have since expanded but his mosaic technique remains the same and the colored squares of the Rubik’s Cubes are the perfect mediums to mimic the pixilated style of the game’s graphics.

True Blood season 3 premiere. Where are my fangs?

I am a huge, huge fan of the HBO original series True Blood. The third season premieres this weekend and I almost can’t contain my excitement. Due to the popularity of the show, I have seen an increase in logo apparel and promotional products in the retail market.  I have even been tempted to purchase a custom promotional t-shirt modeled after what the main character, Sookie, wears at her waitress job at Merlotte’s. The most elaborate promotional campaign however involves a “beverage”. Click here to discover Tru Blood

Jeans Diapers… What Custom Apparel is Next for Babies?

I was shopping the other day at my favorite store, Target when I happened upon an end-cap display of Huggies® Jeans Diapers, diapers that look like designer jeans.  As a new mom, I did a double take and went in for closer inspection.  The diapers have a faux denim look with back pockets, belt loops and a faux leather patch with the Huggies® logo on them.  Is this custom apparel for a baby that is necessary? Of course not, but they seemed to be flying off the shelves.  There were only 2 boxes left!  I contemplated purchasing a box, but instead I whipped out my phone and took a picture so I could send it to all my mommy friends (and now blog about it).

Keep reading about these limited edition diapers and watch the commercial…

Flash Drive Business Cards

Leave it to the writers over at Bit Rebels to find another creative invention. I have previously written about the Penny Shooter Business Card and Food-Replica Flash Drives thanks to BR, but now they have led me to a new item that combines the useful parts of the two aforementioned products and blends them into one great promotional item – what I am calling, the Flash Drive Business Card.

Stressed? Find relaxation in promotional products

The weather is getting warmer, the days are longer and what does that mean for most of us? Vacation? Not so much, I think many Americans want to get in vacation mode, but tend to take on more with the days being longer, which can lead to stress. Don’t fret, there are plenty of promotional products to help you manage. Promotional stress relievers are by far the most economical promotional product, but our promotional product offerings go way further than that. We carry everything from spa kits to yoga mats. So keep your cool and remember to just sit back and relax every once in a while.

Luxury Promotional Bags and How to Use the Blogosphere to Your Advantage

A Google search for the phrase “fashion blogs” results in about 144,000,000 results. Compare that to the 95,900,000 search results for the term “stock market today” and the 82,000,000 results for “local weather,” and it becomes apparent that there is an enormous market for fashion-focused websites. Millions of loyal readers have made it a ritual to check in with their favorite fashion bloggers daily, and the popularity of these blogs has forced retail brands stand up and take notice. In fact, many well-known fashion bloggers earn six-figure salaries, thanks to advertising revenue and affiliate marketing.

Recently, Coach invited four notable fashion bloggers to collaborate with their designers to create a series of limited edition ladies’ handbags, “Coach Collectibles”. Each blogger therefore has her own statement bag, true to her unique style and perspective. 200 bags in each style are available on Coach’s website (until supplies run out!) and every promotional bag sold comes with an attached hang tag touting the name of the blogger who helped design it.
Keep reading to find out how you can follow Coach’s example to reach your target audience…
