Well there’s a snuggie for dogs and a snuggie (termed “Snuggle Me”) for the promotional products industry, so I guess it should not come as such a surprise that this cultural phenomenon now comes in couple form. That’s right, consumers can now purchase the Snuggie For Two that features three armholes (so you and your loved one can hold hands inside the shared armhole of course). Did you just throw up a little bit in your mouth, too? Yeah, I thought so.

Promotional Calendars: Companies like Chick-fil-A want YOU to Save the Date
Call me boring—but I think that promotional calendars are a great marketing tool. When you buy a promotional product, more often than not your goals are to spread your brand with an item that will be used frequently and encourage users to buy from your company.
Earth Day Activities and Promotion Marketing Ideas
Happy Earth Day!
Eco-friendly promotional products tend to be extremely popular and sell out quickly in March and April because of the considerable amount of companies that choose to celebrate Earth Day. This year, why not strive to live a more eco-conscious existence 24/7, 365? It is easy to let green initiatives fall by the wayside after the media buzz surrounding Earth Day dies down, so for a few ideas to help you and your organization stay on track with your sustainable objectives year-round,
1. Catering a client lunch or dinner? Hire local caterers known for using organically grown ingredients to please your guests’ palates AND Mother Earth.
2. Opt for energy efficient technology and lighting in your workspace. Power saving equipment has become much more readily available, as well as less expensive, in recent years.
3. In winter, keep office thermostats set to temperatures between 65 and 68 during business hours, and lower the temperature a few degrees to 60-65 after hours. Similarly, in summer, stick to temperatures of about 78-80 degrees during the workday and slightly higher than that when the office is unoccupied. You’ll be surprised by how much difference raising and lowering the temperature a few degrees during off hours can impact your monthly heating and air conditioning bills!
4. Patronize eco-friendly businesses like Pinnacle Promotions for promotional office supplies, custom imprinted apparel, and trade show giveaway items. We donate a portion of all proceeds from sales of our EarthSmart™ products to 1% for the Planet, an international network of over 1,700 environmental organizations.
5. Participate in community betterment activities. Whether you sponsor a volunteer event or form a company team to take part in a fundraiser, you can give back to your neighborhood in a variety of ways. In addition, you can maximize the impact of your company’s volunteerism by using promotional products to thank volunteers. Check it out if you are in need of some Earth Day inspiration… and because it is just plain awesome!

promotional products for Atlanta Record Store Day
Promotional products were out in full force last weekend for Record Store Day.

Lions and tigers and promotional products… Oh my!
Home to 4000 species of exotic animals and 100 acres of lush wildlife, the San Diego Zoo is one of the largest and most famous zoos in the country. I can attest to the vastness first hand because I was lucky enough to visit the Zoo this past weekend. While there, I pet a camel, heard about numerous conservation efforts, learned that koalas are marsupials (not bears) and was able to snap this photo of the San Diego Zoo’s promotional products.
I also started thinking about how much animals influence the realm of business. Over the years, well-known companies in a variety of industries have used animals as a logo to symbolize their strong brands.
Get Your Noses Ready for…Scented Promotional Products
Okay so we all know that promotional products can be more influential for brand recognition than other forms of advertising because they are essentially tangible ads – and thus are able to appeal to our perception more easily, in that they are physical entities that can be seen and touched. Well now some promotional product manufacturers are adding a new corporal attribute into the mix – smell.
One of the most promising of these new items is the Scent-Sational Grip Promotional Pen, which is reminiscent of the classic Mr. Sketch “smelly markers” that we all cherished in grade school.
There are a few others, however, that I am not sure will bring about such a delicate joy for the old olfactory sense.

Apply the promotional sunscreen and get outside!
There is nothing I like better than the all two brief weeks before and after summer, when the weather is just right to enjoy the sunny afternoon outside. With numerous outdoor festivals, concerts and events going on each weekend, it’s easy to find an excuse to get outside.
When planning for your spring and summer events and promotions, consider bringing a little of the outdoors into your campaigns. Promotional sunscreen and other outdoor related products are an inexpensive and thoughtful way to reach out to your employees and clients during the spring and summer seasons.
Discovery of the Vanagon- need a promotional key chain?
As I was on my lunch break about a week ago, I came across a new discovery that I had never seen before. Stopped at the traffic light to my right was a large awkward-looking van. During further inspection I noticed the model name on the back, and guess what it said- Vanagon. First of all, I didn’t see anything overtly attractive about the vehicle itself to make anyone want to run to the car lot and buy this baby, and secondly I couldn’t believe it was called the Vanagon. So being in the promotional industry, first thing I think of is: What goes best with a Vanagon? Promotional key chain of course! Continue reading →
splatter cinema presents rosemary’s baby & advertising products for non-profits
Last night I had the pleasure of viewing Rosemary’s Baby at the Plaza Theater here in Atlanta. I had never before seen Roman Polanski’s 1968 horror classic, and Splatter Cinema sufficiently hyped the movie beforehand with “authentic recreations of some of the most graphic scenes of the film” right in the theater lobby. Anybody know where I can find the picture of me posed with a bloody babydoll next to a cloaked man wielding a knife? Thanks.
The lobby also held a table of branded t-shirts, coozies, and handmade horrific handbags. This kind of branded merch and other advertising products for non-profits have a dual effect: both spreading awareness about the brand and raising money to support the organization.
Gmail Nested Labels: Modern Era Desk Organizers?
Given the technologically savvy world in which we live, it’s no surprise that Google is continuing to revolutionize E-mail and thus the way in which Internet users communicate. Google first transformed Web mail with a thread system that combines conversations into one tab for easy viewing and organizational purposes. Now, Gmail is announcing Nested Labels, which allow users to create hierarchies within their inbox folders (folders are referred to as “Labels” in Google speak). This new feature is ideal for Internet users who like to keep everything in its proper place; nested labels are like desk organizers for your inbox.
