Pinnacle Promotions Holiday Contest!
Do you get our e-mails (if not, sign up over there ——> or on our site.) or like us on Facebook? If not, you probably don’t know about our first ever Facebook Holiday Contest! Working at Pinnacle, we get a lot of promotional products to test out. Seriously, on my desk right now are four water bottles, two pairs of sunglasses, a mug, a highlighter, two different types of cell phone holders and about 75,000 promotional pens. I’ve only been with Pinnacle for nine months, you can imagine how many products people that have been here for years have in their cubes!
That was a very long-winded way of saying that we get a lot of products in our hands. And for our first holiday contest, which is themed Gift Giving in Style, we went out and found seven gifts that were really trendy this year and we want to give your favorite to you. From a lunch box to a Nike track jacket to a stylus pen and more, enter our contest to win your favorite. Happy Holidays! Can you believe it’s already almost that time? How is it the middle of October already? I digress.
We’ll be doing seven rounds of our contest with different products each week so be sure to keep up with us so you can enter each round.

Essential Tailgating Items
I’m going to preface this post by saying that it’s slightly ironic that I’m about to write about football. I went to a school in New England that didn’t even have a football team (Go Catamounts – there were other sports that we were good at!) and I’ve never been to a football game in my life. However, I can appreciate a good tailgate and that’s what I want to blog about.
(South Carolina is my husband’s alma mater, thus the picture.)

Promotional Products at Google
Last week, our VP of Marketing had the opportunity to attend Google’s ThinkB2B conference, which was a summit for senior-level B2B marketers.
In addition to hearing presentations from such speakers as the Oakland Athletic’s Billy Beane (My first question was not about the presentation itself, but whether or not he looked like Brad Pitt. Priorities.), she also got to see first-hand what sort of promotional products a company like Google uses at their conferences.
• Joby was given a lanyard that had her name tag on it, along with a QR code. The code was meant for other attendees to scan to get her contact information using an app that Google had designed specifically for this event.
• Google had Android stations set up where you could design your own Android that looked like you. Your Android was printed on a t-shirt with the ThinkB2B logo and information on the back.
• Attendees could use Google Wallet to scan items that they wanted – in this case, promotional sunglasses and tube socks.
• Additionally, everyone was given a fun notebook and promotional cookie.
Choosing unique promotional products can really set your company apart from the rest. I bet that Joby will hang on to her Android t-shirt for a long time and remember her trip to Google every time she wears it. When thinking about promotional products for your next seminar or conference, think of fun and out of the ordinary items that recipients will really remember. Or just ask yourself, “What would Google do?”

People of all ages (must have a responsible party over the age of 18 on each team) and fitness levels are encouraged to participate.

Pinnacle Promotions on Pinterest
Back in March, Pinnacle had just hopped on the Pinterest train and I wrote a blog post about how we’re using it as a promotional products distributor.
I read that post today and I started to think about how our presence on Pinterest has evolved since March.
