Hello, local readers. Once again we’re here with your weekend guide, where we share our favorite things to do in and around Atlanta and point out where you can get free stuff along the way. As always, be sure to add anything we missed in the comments.

Bottom’s Up for Crohn’s and Colitis Fundraiser

The Foundry at Puritan Mill. Friday, 7 pm – 11 pm. $50 donation.

Enjoy fine food, a four hour open bar, and live music while raising awareness about Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. There will also be a silent auction (featuring a 3-night stay at a Playa del Carmen condo donated by Pinnacle) at this first annual fundraiser, which Pinnacle’s own Sarah Fell helped to organize. Donations are also welcome online; all proceeds fund research and educational initiatives for Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America.

Looking for something different to do on Friday evening? Whether you’re going on a first date, out with your beau or with your BFF, ditch the typical Friday date night. Not to mention the instruction, snacks, chocolate and wine are all included (Sat. & Sun. mornings -champagne, juice, mimosas, and pastries)!
