In case you haven’t heard by now, last week Google unleashed Google Instant, a search process that streams results as you type. As you continue to type and define your search query, you can see Google narrowing down the suggestions in order to provide you with the most targeted results. In other words, Google tries to predict what you are thinking in order to provide you with the search results before you even complete your thought, thereby saving you time (anywhere from two to five seconds per search and “11 hours with each passing second” according to Marissa Mayer, VP Search Products & User Experience at Google). Take the word “promotional products” for example. Over the course of my three second search process, results transform from “Publix” to “Priceline” and then pull up results for promotional products before I even complete the first word.

Pop-Tarts World Abuzz with Sushi, Snack Packs and Company T Shirts
If you’ve never been a fan of sushi, it might be time to give it another try with a variety that doesn’t contain raw fish. Rather, Pop-Tarts Sushi, contains 3 varieties of Pop-Tarts flavors, which are crushed into tiny pieces, mixed together, and folded into Fruit Roll-Ups. Some people think this sounds delicious- while others call it down-right nasty- but either way, Pop-Tarts sushi and the new Pop-Tarts World are making a buzz in Times Square. The store, which opened earlier this month, aims to rebrand the breakfast treat as a fun snack for all ages. Main attractions include a 16 foot. vending machine that allows users to create their own Pop-Tarts variety pack, a sit-down restaurant, and a create-your-own Pop-Tarts company t shirts station. So far it’s only guaranteed in Times Square unitl January (at which point executives will determine whether or not it will become a permanent fixture), so hurry up and get your sugar rush!

With all the news media surrounding Rod Blagojevich’s trial, the former Illinois governor’s lawyers probably don’t need any help drawing attention to their firms. Sandwich in a Can Vs. Custom Snacks in a Basket
It’s that time of the afternoon again. You just finished a long meeting, you are in need of rejuvenation and you head to the vending machine to purchase a can of…. peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Yes, readers, your eyes don’t deceive you. Starting next month you will be able to purchase sandwiches in a can, thanks to Mark Kirkland of Salt Lake City, Utah. Kirkland’s “Candwiches” consist of shelf stable bread and will eventually come in a variety of flavors, including BBQ chicken, pepperoni pizza, and even French toast. While it certainly sounds interesting- and may be great in emergency situations- I think I’ll stick to those yummy custom snack baskets filled with pretzels, peanuts and chocolate that we’re lucky enough to have delivered to our office break room on occasion!

The iPhone 4 is here. Need promotional cell phone accessories?
Yesterday was a monumental day for Apple fanatics and techies across the globe. The launch of the iPhone 4 has been long awaited by long-term users of the iPhone and by those who (like me) have been waiting to upgrade to a smartphone with this latest product launch.
I have to admit, I’m pretty excited to get my hands on one of these powerhouse toys. Though not so excited that I’d sleep outside to secure my place in line. (I’m just going to hold out for the next shipment.) However, I will admit that I’ve already been doing a little shopping for the perfect promotional cell phone accessories for my soon-to-be new gadget.

Promote Dad’s Health with Golf Items and Fitness Accessories
Every year, the week before Father’s Day means last minute shopping for ties and golf items, a trip to the store to find the perfect card, and the occurrence of Men’s Health Week. Tired of Bad Traffic? Cell Phone Accessories Improve Driving
Yesterday, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution confirmed something I’ve known since I moved to Atlanta five years ago: Georgia residents are bad drivers! How bad? A nationwide survey by GMAC Insurance listed Georgia drivers as 32nd out of the 50 states. Although this statistic shows major improvement since last year, when Georgia drivers ranked 47th in the same survey, motorists here are still well below the national average.
The statistics listed in the study are certainly scary, but they won’t keep me off the roads. Increased awareness of the problem, better traffic control in Atlanta, cell phone accessories to keep drivers off the phone- or at least to keep phones easily accessible, since talking while driving is still legal in Georgia- and a small rant (which follows below) can solve the problem.
London Olympics’ Mascots: Coming Soon to Promotional Apparel Near You
Pictured at left, the Olympic and Paralympic mascots for the 2012 London Games are intended to be futuristic beings, representative of the tech savvy times in which we are living. Wenlock and Mandeville are targeted at kids, who have already responded positively to their introduction. The beings each have a single eye made out of a camera lens, a London taxi light on their heads, and friendship bracelets modeled after the Olympic rings on their wrists. According to an article about Wenlock and Mandeville in the Times Online, imprinted merchandise featuring the two characters will include promotional apparel, keychains, toys, and an array of other items.

Buy Cute Promotional T-Shirts to Help Nashville Flood Victims
As I mentioned in a Nashville themed blog post last November, Nashville, Tennessee is one of my all-time favorite cities. While I only spent a short period of time there, I was devastated to hear about the floods that swept through the vibrant city. My heart goes out to all of the victims, but especially to my friend Jamie’s grandparents, who have temporarily relocated to her house in Atlanta while their house is repaired.
