Want your groceries delivered fresh to your door? At no extra cost? In reusable grocery bags? If you answered “yes” to any or all of the above questions, you may be in luck. Amazon is considering the launch of a new grocery delivery service that aims to provide users with fresh produce and meats, straight to their door. The delivery service, named AmazonTote, is currently being tested by employees in the Seattle area. Unlike Amazon Fresh, a grocery delivery service currently available to Seattle residents, AmazonTote provides free, weekly service. In fact, “there are no subscriptions, minimum delivery sizes, or fees,” according to the information on Amazon’s website. All you have to do is select items you wish to have delivered, and they will show up at your door in sealed, weather-resistant reusable grocery bags (which purchasers can keep!)

Beer, Soda, and now Whisky: the Many Uses for Promotional Koozies
Many people – especially sports fans – will be quick to offer a testament to the wonder of promotional koozies. They’ll keep your beverage of choice at its frosty, optimal drinking temp for hours, allowing you to enjoy your Bud Light, Fanta, or other canned drink at your leisure while you watch the game, play cornhole, or relax on the beach.
Now, in addition to beer, soda, juice, and energy drinks, the thirsty among us can use their promotional koozies to keep new 12-oz. cans of whisky cold as well. While whisky itself isn’t exactly an innovation, putting 12 ounces – eight shots – of it in aluminum packaging sure is.
Golden Globes Teaches Lesson in Promotional Brand Name Apparel
Every year, there’s one question asked of all stars as they walk the red carpet during awards season; and that is, “Who are you wearing?” From Badgley Mischka and Carolina Herrera to Jason Wu and Roberto Cavalli, these names are almost just as important as the name of a winning star or starlet. In fact, for designers, dressing a celebrity for an awards show is an invaluable way to promote their brand amongst the rich and famous. As knock offs of their dresses start to appear in department stores later in the season, these designers become household names for us normal folks, too. And, even if you don’t have a chance to rub elbows with famous designers, you can learn a lesson from them by choosing to use promotional brand name apparel to promote your organization, too.

Avoid iPhone Glitch with Promotional Alarm Clocks
While many of us were sleeping in and relaxing on New Year’s Day and January 2, others had big plans to get up and catch a flight back home. However, thanks to a bug in Apple’s alarm clock iPhone app this past weekend, those would-be travelers were sleeping, too. Apple claims that the app should have started working properly again this morning, but to help ensure that travelers don’t oversleep due to faulty technology, hotels and other organizations in the hospitality industry should consider distributing promotional alarm clocks. Businesses can choose from sophisticated leather or metal alarm clocks or smaller, more affordable travel clocks that recipients can take with them any time they stray from home.

Promotional Bags Help Shopping District Flourish in North Jersey
Many retail businesses have faced challenges over the past few years as the state of the economy forced consumers to cut back. This year- just in time for the holiday season- merchants in Teaneck, New Jersey decided something needed to be done to increase revenue, as well as the community livelihood. As reported by NorthJersey.com, 11 business owners analyzed demographics, brainstormed the best way to reach their patrons, and settled on the idea of creating and distributing promotional bags filled with coupons. All information detailing the promotion and the participating stores were printed on stickers and placed on the promotional bags, as was information about the economic benefit of shopping locally.
Airport Horror Story… Avoid Them with Promotional Luggage Tags
Welcome to this week’s edition of “Trending Topic Tuesday,” where we share our take on what’s going on in the world and what promotional products would appropriately (or inappropriately) market the subject matter.
Flying these days can be chaotic, passengers have to pack strategically, plan ahead, and stay organized. If you traveled over Christmas, there’s a chance you could still be sitting in an airport right now. At least 4,155 flights were cancelled just out of New York, stranding thousands of passengers and their luggage. With back-ups, lay-overs, and a million other black rolling suitcases, it’s situations like these, one has to come prepared. Promotional luggage tags could save you and your personal belongings. Available in a myriad of colors and styles, these little gadgets can differentiate your suitcase from the pack and be used to track lost luggage. During the winter months you never know when the next snow storm will hit, so be prepared for the worst with a promotional luggage tag.
Use your Custom Binoculars To Track the Night Sky
Often with all the activities and shows that fill our evenings, we often forget about the interesting things that occur naturally in the world around us. On Monday, December 20th 2010, one of these natural occurrences filled the night sky. For about 72 minutes, the earth, moon, and sun all aligned to form a lunar eclipse. And, what better way to get the perfect glimpse of this rare formation than with custom binoculars. With your extended sight you could clearly capture the reddish glow that was emanating from the moon. The last time these terrestrial formations all aligned during the winter solstice was in 1638. If you weren’t able to grab your custom binoculars in time however, don’t fret, because you have until 2014 to prepare for the next eclipse!
Shake the Magic Answer Ball: Will Tax Cuts Continue?
Welcome to this week’s edition of “Trending Topic Tuesday,” where we share our take on what’s going on in the world and what promotional products would appropriately (or inappropriately) market the subject matter.
As tax cuts from the Bush era are set to expire at the end of the year, a heated debate has developed on capital hill.
The bill, as it now stands, would extend tax cuts from the Bush era for 2 additional years, continue funding unemployment benefits for another 13 months, and enact a one year payroll tax reduction. Another confrontational factor, the estate tax, which would add $893 billion to the federal debt over the next five years.
Reinstating these cuts would mean about 150 million Americans would not see their taxes increase in 2011, but many are concerned that reinstating these terms will strangle the economy and the national deficit even further. On Monday, it was said the senate will open this unhinged debate.
President Obama is in the hot seat with both parties, and people and politicians are confused about where he stands. After insisting that tax cuts for the upper class were “irresponsible,” reinstating these cuts for 2011 will promote them.
As of right now, all that Obama says he wants to do is put the right laws in place to make the recovery stronger. However, even economists are unsure of which method will work. Now that everything has been turned on its head, no one knows what to expect. All that we can do now, is advise the magic answer ball.
