Top 5 Halloween Promotional Products

So it’s the end of September and the retail stores have had their Halloween candy and costumes out for weeks! I have to admit, I love this time of year and really get into Halloween and the fun that surrounds it. At Pinnacle we always dress up, have a party and eat waaay too much food and candy. I still need to figure out costumes for this year and have been scouring Pinterest for unique, DIY ideas.

Pinnacle’s Halloween Party 2011

Halloween is a great holiday that everyone loves to celebrate. Take this opportunity to market your company or organization in a fun, memorable way. Here are my Top 5 Halloween promotional products picks.

1) Pumpkin Drawstring Backpack

A great alternative to the disposable trick-or-treating bags and is much more functional for kids to wear instead of carrying. The jack o’ lantern stock art comes pre-printed on the front of each bag in reflective ink.

[Trending] Promotional Charging Devices

Trendwatching.com released 12 Mini Trends To Run With Now, which consists of 12 “mini” consumer and business trends to keep on your radar.  The one that popped out to me was #7: Juice Jitters, “extended battery life and charging options that are the holy grail for anyone addicted to an online lifestyle”.  It seems like almost everyone today feels the need to be connected 24/7.  All that connectivity really wears on your battery life, especially when you’re traveling.

Trend Watching featured a handbag by fashion designer, Richard Nicoli and Vodafone UK that can power a mobile phone while on the move.  After the bag is charged (via power outlet), it carries up to two days worth of extra battery!  They didn’t say how much it costs, but it reminded me of some of our new charging products and promotional cell phone accessories that have just been released.

Megan’s Product Pick of the Week: The Promotional Raincoat

As of Tuesday afternoon, Tropical Storm Isaac is now a Category 1 hurricane. Since we are smack dab in the middle of hurricane season, I thought I would help my readers out by suggesting a rain jacket to brave the upcoming storms.

My favorite promotional raincoat is the New Englander. With its waterproof polyurethane shell, heat-sealed seams and mesh lining, this rain jacket will keep you dry in any downpour.

The Anti-Promotional Product

Look, I’m just going to go ahead and say it…

I’m really glad the Olympics are over.

Yes I know it’s only once every four years and that it is, supposedly, a spectacular display of athletics, dedication, and various precious metals, but man am I glad I won’t have to deal with this for another 4 years. I found myself overwhelmed with dives, jumps, spins, kicks, tears, victories and new memes. And, apparantly, I wasn’t the only one.

With the same fervent intensity and worldwide interest that followed the Royal Wedding (on which we did a great series of posts about, check them out here), London has become slightly difficult to move around in for the everyday folk, and the British are using their famously composed snark to make a not so subtle statement.

In the spirit of the Royal Wedding Sick Bags, I present to you the Sick of Olympics Tote Bags.

Megan’s Product Pick of the Week: The Ladies Crosshatch Ruffle Shirt

When selecting new products to add to our site for autumn, I came across the Ladies Crosshatch Ruffle Easy Care Shirt. I was very surprised to see a bit of a more fashionable style for corporate apparel. This blouse has a feminine feel to it with the ruffled y-shape neckline, front and back darts and pearlized buttons. The ¾ length sleeves will allow you to accessorize nicely with your favorite watch or stack of bracelets. The Ladies Crosshatch Blouse is made from 60/40 cotton/poly making it washable. Say goodbye to the dry cleaner!

This blouse would be a great uniform choice for outside sales representatives and women in the hospitality or finance industries. A tonal embroidery would look great on the chest or cuff. Available in five beautiful shades, you are sure to find one that matches your brand. My favorite one is the Grape Harvest; this perfect shade of purple would look great with a pair of grey trousers or a tweed skirt.

Check out other options to dress your team in style.

Megan’s Product Pick of the Week: Fashionable Office Cardigans

If you work in an office that is anything like mine, you are freezing with out a sweater or blazer. Even though it is pushing 98 degrees outdoors, I find myself dreaming about cozy sweaters, layering and fall (to help me cope with the a/c chill). I have collected some of my favorite cover-ups that are office appropriate. These styles can up your cool quotient and keep you warm at your second home.

The Bella Unisex Triblend Cardigan: This cover-up can work for both sexes. Made from a poly/cotton/rayon blend, the knit is soft and cozy. Think of this as a t-shirt that has fashioned into a cardigan! I recommend embroidery on the chest.

FAQ Series – Questions about Artwork for Promotional Products

“What kind of artwork do I need?” and “What if I don’t have artwork?”

Many first time purchasers of promotional products or imprinted apparel have lots of questions regarding their artwork or their logo files for their order.  We often get asked, “what kind of artwork do I need?”

The simple answer is an Adobe Illustrator file (vector art with paths) in an AI or EPS format with all fonts converted to outlines or a vector PDF.   Then there is the grey area where “this might work” comes into play… do you have an Adobe Photoshop file in .EPS or .TIF format at 300 dpi resolution or a Word, Power Point or Corel Draw file…that might work, send it to us and we’ll evaluate and let you know.  Often times we can recreate your logo quickly with little or no charge.

Now we also get the question, “what if I don’t have artwork?”  Don’t be embarrassed, we’d be glad to help you!  We have a talented in-house art department that is available to create a design/logo for you.  For simple jobs we may not even charge you for this service.  However, our standard art fee is $50/hr.

Bottom line: It’s best to have an Illustrator file with your logo/art, but send us what you have and we’ll work with you!  Don’t hesitate to pick up the phone and talk to us.

Megan’s Product Pick of the Week: Boxy Tees

I currently in love the look of an easy relaxed flowy t-shirt in a bright color with skinny jeans or cutoffs. Great to layer with a tank underneath in a contrasting color, you easily have the look of color blocking which is so 2012. And the solid color is the perfect backdrop for an amazing summer weight scarf or statement necklace. The Bella Flowy Draped Dolman Tee is elegant and modern at the same time.
