Long gone are the days in which women have to suffer through wearing a Men’s Promotional T-shirt. As we all know, the Promotional Products industry is a bit behind trend driven, retail fashion. But, we do have access to great t-shirts, made for women.
Men’s style t-shirts are not made for the female form. Can you remember the last time you received a promotional Men’s t-shirt? I do. I tried it on and it just looked plain awful! Let’s just say that the tee does not see the light of day. It has been banished to the bottom dresser drawer. Being in the industry, I thought about the purchaser of said t-shirt. I bet they would feel bad knowing that their t-shirt is not getting any play from me, therefore gaining no advertising for them. I wonder if they would have purchased the same shirt if they were educated on fit and style and, most importantly, what the end user would actually wear.
To help Wearables buyers out a bit, here are my favorite Ladies T-shirt styles for 2012:
The Port Authority Ladies Scoop Neck Shirt :
This t-shirt has amazing feminine details, like 3 buttons trimming the ½ sleeve and a flattering scoop neck. A logo would look great screen printed or embroidered on the right or left chest of this piece.
The Bella 4.2oz Missy Short Sleeve Jersey Crew Neck:
What a perfect basic that fits sizes 4 to 22! The combed, ringspun cotton is unbelievably soft and contoured sideseams will flatter any woman’s figure. This t-shirt is sure to become a favorite!
The District Threads Juniors Cotton Blend Tunic Tee:
For the younger set, this tunic would be great with a bold design, front and center! And the cotton/polyester blend is comfortable and easy to care for.
The Anvil Ladies Striped V-Neck Shirt:
As you read in a previous post of mine, stripes are so in! This lady like tee is preshrunk and cut for a women’s form. Fun stripe color combinations make this t-shirt perfect for a spring/summer event!
