Christmas in July at Atkins Park
Atkins Park, Virginia-Highland and Smyrna locations. Saturday, 9pm – 3am. Free.
Get into the holiday spirit a little earlier than usual with Atkins Park Tavern this Saturday – both locations are hosting their annual Christmas in July celebrations, sponsored by Sam Adams and Jägermeister. Santa Claus and his elves (the Jägerettes) will be at both locations passing out goodies from Santa’s big red sack along with Christmas cookies, drink specials and even Jäger sno-cones.

Downtown Atlanta Restaurant Week
Participating Atlanta Restaurants. Monday – Sunday, August 8. $25 – 35.
Beginning Monday, many of Atlanta’s best restaurants will be participating in the annual Restaurant Week dining event. Visit any participating restaurant during the 2-week affair and enjoy a special, three-course meal for a discounted price of $25 or $35 a meal. Looking for more? Thursday Thunder
Atlanta Motor Speedway. Thursday, 6pm – 10pm. $1-5.
NASCAR’s stars of tomorrow compete on Atlanta Motor Speedway’s quarter-mile “Thunder Ring” at Thursday Thunder through Aug. 5. Each week features six classes of racing with drivers ranging in age from eight to almost 80, plus grandstand games and entertainment. One of the most affordable family entertainment options around, Thursday Thunder has served as a training ground for current NASCAR stars Joey Logano, David Ragan and Reed Sorenson. Promotional coolers allowed.
