Dear Loyal Readers,
It is with a heavy heart and a cubicle full of promotional products that I write my final post for the Pinnacle Promotions blog. Rather than discuss a trending topic related to promo items, I would like to reflect on a few of my most memorable blog moments as part of Pinnacle’s Marketing Department. In no particular order:
1) Our very first blog post!
It is still hard to believe that Pinnacle did not have a blog when I was brought on board. Kim was responsible for crafting our inaugural blog entry on May 18, 2009 and we have now passed the 750-post mark! It has been an honor to work with such talented, creative writers- each one of you has inspired me on so many occasions and I have been fortunate to learn and grow as a result of our interactions.
2) TV-inspired magic moments
As an avid TV watcher, I have drawn inspiration from many of my beloved sitcoms and reality shows over these last few years. From a two-part series dedicated to Saved by the Bell (see “Saved by the Bell: The Pinnacle Years” and “Saved by the Bell: The Pinnacle Years (Continued)“) to a post about entrepreneurs who pitched their ideas on Shark Tank (“Unique Promotional Beverages to Serve the Needs of Niche Markets“), to promotional products related to “The Bachelor,” (“Toyota, Tylenol, and How One ‘Bachelor’ Contestant Could Use Promotional Products in Her Everyday Life“) I have had a blast finding ways to draw connections between mass media and the world of promotional marketing.
3) Our first ever Fan of the Month
In February of this year, we introduced our Fan of the Month contest to the blog. Our first featured Fan was iprintfromhome, and I am thrilled that we have continued to shine a spotlight on one fabulous Pinnacle customer monthly ever since. It is a great way for us to learn more about our clients, as well as to allow them to promote their own products and services through Pinnacle’s blog.
4) Receiving a prestigious PPAI Technology Award for our blog
Speaking on behalf of all of Pinnacle’s blog contributors, we take a great deal of pride in our work. It was a tremendous honor to earn the distinction of a Gold Award for our blog from the esteemed PPAI organization. I can’t wait to see Pinnacle’s blog recognized by other industry associations for its superb content and phenomenal authors!
5) Using our blog and other media outlets to raise awareness for philanthropic causes
Throughout my time at Pinnacle, we have pitched in to help communities and organizations near and far, including “Give 2 The Troops,” “Positive Growth, Inc.“, and tornado relief efforts nationwide. Giving back remains a core part of the Pinnacle Promotions mission and I look forward to seeing how the Marketing Department and the company at large continue to impact the world for the better.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Pinnacle, learning about the promotional products industry and forging strong relationships with customers, vendors, and colleagues. Hopefully you have enjoyed reading my ramblings about promotional products, digital marketing, and a slew of other diverse topics as much as I have enjoyed writing them!
