Atlanta Rock & Roll Monster Bash
Starlight Six Drive-In. Saturday, 10am. Adults, $20; children, $5.
Attend this annual “Horror and Hot Rod Fest” to enjoy live music, contests, a hot rod showcase, and a couple of classic scary movies. Bands include Super X-13, Brimstones, Lust, Radio Cult, and Spooky Partridge; sets begin at 2PM. Film screenings will start after dark, with featured movies like “House” (“Hausu”; 1977) and “Godzilla 2000” (1999). A portion of all proceeds will benefit ShelterBox, an organization dedicated to helping victims of the recent events in Japan.

Mutts & More Festival
Cumming Fairgrounds. Saturday, 11am – 5pm. $1.
The Humane Society of Forsyth County, Petco Foundation, and Rucker Pet present the 2011 Mutts & More Festival. Early risers can donate $20+ to participate in The Race to Rescue 5k at 8am, which will be followed by the Mutt Strut Fun Walk at 10am. The festival will feature over 100 vendors, carnival games, animal shows, food, rides specifically for children, and much more. Attendees (and friendly pets on leashes) have the opportunity to enjoy a full day of entertainment while supporting a great cause.

Screen on the Green
Piedmont Park. Thursday at sundown (movie will start between 8:40 pm and 8:55 pm). Free.
Piedmont Park Conservancy is proud to announce that with the support of local companies, Screen on the Green is back for another great season. For five consecutive Thursday evenings, June 2 – June 30, fans will enjoy classic films under the beautiful Atlanta skyline. Bring a blanket and picnic basket and join in kicking off the city tradition this Thursday with “Back to the Future.”

Wing & Rock Fest
Woodstock City Park. Saturday, 12:30pm – 9:30pm. Free.
Wings and rock & roll go together like peanut butter and jelly, and they’ll be side-by-side this weekend when Wing & Rock Fest hits Woodstock, Georgia. Featuring local wing restaurants as well as live entertainment, a wing eating contest, family friendly Kid Zone, and more, this festival should not be missed. Admission is free and tickets will be available to purchase wings, beer, and other food & beverages.

Georgia Fine Wine Festival
BlackStock Vineyards & Winery. Saturday, 11am – 5pm; Sunday, 12:30pm – 5pm. $50.
Enjoy some of the finest wine, food, art and music North Georgia has to offer this weekend on the grounds of BlackStock Vineyards & Winery in Dahlonega, Georgia. The Georgia Fine Wine Festival will feature 60+ wines from Georgia wineries as well as a wide selection of food samples from local restaurants, live music, and crafts from local artisans.

15th Annual Atlanta Tattoo Arts Festival
Crowne Plaza Hotel-Perimeter. Friday, 3pm – 12am; Saturday, 12pm – 12am; Sunday, 12pm – 7pm. $20+.
Thinking about getting a tattoo? Now is the time to do it! The Atlanta Tattoo Arts Festival is back for its fifteenth year to host some of the world’s top tattoo artists. Enjoy a day (or a whole weekend) of contests, artist seminars, goodies from an array of vendors, and an after party at Mardi Gras. Due to some of the artists’ esteemed profiles, it is suggested to make an appointment prior to the convention. Plus, mention that you’re with the tattoo festival and receive a discounted room rate at the Crowne Plaza.

Pints for a Purpose
Red Brick Brewery. Sunday, 1pm – 5pm. $30.
Support the Shirlock Foundation’s commitment to providing financial assistance to the families of college students who are battling leukemia this Sunday by heading to Red Brick Brewery for an afternoon of food, friends, and fun. Brewery tours will be available to attendees, who will also receive beer samples, raffle tickets, and a souvenir pint glass. Local food truck vendor Tex’s Tacos will also be on site and raffle prizes include restaurant gift certificates, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra tickets, and more.
