Happy 100th Birthday, Julia Child!

Google Doodle Julia Child

Julia Child passed away in 2004, but if she was still alive, today would have been her 100th birthday. I’ll admit, most of my Julia Child knowledge comes from the movie Julie and Julia but I think most people are at least a little bit familiar with the woman who taught French cooking to America (even if it was from a movie that came out over 40 years later).

Tap Into Your Inner Chef

While driving to Pinnacle this morning, I thought, “What is for dinner tonight?” I know, it was 8:30 a.m., why was I thinking of dinner? Well, last night, I watched an old episode of Giada at Home. Only Giada can get me in the mood to cook.  I was thinking of making her yummy Penne with Shrimp and Herb Cream sauce recipe. I am not the best cook, but I love trying new recipes, so tonight could be a disaster or a success. To prevent any messes, I will definitely be wearing my favorite apron. Take a look at my favorite aprons.
