Often with all the activities and shows that fill our evenings, we often forget about the interesting things that occur naturally in the world around us. On Monday, December 20th 2010, one of these natural occurrences filled the night sky. For about 72 minutes, the earth, moon, and sun all aligned to form a lunar eclipse. And, what better way to get the perfect glimpse of this rare formation than with custom binoculars. With your extended sight you could clearly capture the reddish glow that was emanating from the moon. The last time these terrestrial formations all aligned during the winter solstice was in 1638. If you weren’t able to grab your custom binoculars in time however, don’t fret, because you have until 2014 to prepare for the next eclipse!
