Welcome to this week’s edition of “Trending Topic Tuesday,” where we share our take on what’s going on in the world and what promotional products would appropriately (or inappropriately) market the subject matter.
Last Thursday, a palace source confirmed to the press that invitations to the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton had been postmarked. A stiff white card measuring about 8 inches x 6 inches, with gold lettering and gilded edges is en route to arrive via snail mail to 1,900 of the world’s most elite, well-connected individuals. Attendees of the much-awaited royal wedding will include kings, charity leaders, close family and friends, and politicians the world over. A select few of the guests, 600 of the total 1,900 invitees, will also be invited by Queen Elizabeth to a reception following the ceremony in the Abbey. Even fewer guests, 300 of the 600 invited to the Queen’s event, will make the cut to attend a dinner hosted by Prince Charles that evening at Buckingham Palace.
So which fortunate recipients should have their promotional letter openers ready and waiting for a royal invite? Keep reading for more details…
