Brew at the Zoo

Beer+ wine+ wild animals= a great time! No really, head to Zoo Atlanta for their 5th annual Brew at the Zoo event! Your ticket will get you unlimited sampling of beer and wine, up-close visits with local Zoo animals and complementary rides on the train and carousel! Plus Arrested Development will serenade the crowd while the animals do their thing.

Decatur Arts Festival
Old Courthouse Square. Saturday, 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.; Sunday, 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Free.
If you are sick of looking at ho-hum classic art, check out the Artist’s Market in Decatur this weekend! More that 160 artists will be on display; these artists were selected through an emulous jury process. Various food and drink vendors will be there, keeping the crowds hydrated and happy.

Summer SoundWaves at the Georgia Aquarium
Georgia Aquarium. Friday, 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. $24.95 Adults.; $18.95 Ages 3-12.; $20.95 Ages 65+. Or free with Friday general admission ticket.
Enjoy live music, a cash bar and of course all the sights of the Georgia Aquarium. Wind down the week with a specialty cocktail or your beverage of choice while perusing the various galleries.

Concerts on the Square
Decatur Square. Saturday, 7:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. Free.
Grab a blanket and head to the Decatur Square to enjoy a Saturday night concert in the open air. This free event is fun for the whole family and easy on the pocketbook. Pack a picnic or grab a to-go meal from one of the many local eateries in downtown Decatur.

Atlanta Jazz Festival

Head down to Piedmont Park this weekend for three days of live jazz. The Atlanta Jazz Festival is one of the country’s largest free jazz events. Bring the whole family down and listen to great musicians such as Roy Ayers and Tito Puente Jr. & Orchestra. Feel free to bring a picnic lunch or take advantage of the great food vendors who will be set up in the park.

5th Annual Brews, Bands & BBQ Fest
Park Tavern. Sunday, 2:00 p.m – 11:00 p.m. $20.
Sunday will be a fun day this weekend at the 5th Annual Brews, Bands and BBQ Fest. Enjoy great bands all afternoon including a Beastie Boys Tribute band and a Stone Temple Pilots cover band while drinking ice-cold beer and chowing down on some tasty bbq. Best of all, everything takes place under the air-conditioned tent at the Park Tavern.
