Happy Tails Pet Therapy DOG-A-THON

Piedmont Park. Sunday, 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Free.

Take a trip to Piedmont Park this weekend to celebrate the therapeutic power of pets! The Georgia State Organizational Behavior Class is hosting a fundraiser for Happy Tails Pet Therapy. Check out the Olympic style games, soak in the sun, and spend some quality time with new furry friends. Buy a ticket for the Happy Tails Raffle for a chance to win get prizes from local pet supply companies and other corporate sponsors! This event is open to all ages. All proceeds go to benefit Happy Tails Pet Therapy.

Atlanta Film Festival

36th Annual Atlanta Film Festival

Landmark Midtown Art Cinema. Kickoff event Friday, 7:30 p.m. $30 (opening night screening and party); $10 (general screenings). Miscellaneous packages available.

The Atlanta Film Festival (ATLFF) is an Academy Award qualifying international film festival held in Atlanta every April since 1976. Enjoy a showing of “Life Happens,” with director Kat Coiro in attendance. Following the screening, celebrate the festival’s opening night at Paris on Ponce, featuring live soundtrack and performance of Old Man Cabbage directed by Raymond Carr. The festival concludes on April 1 and we recommend checking out its official website for a complete schedule of events.

Imagine It! The Children’s Museum of Atlanta. Sunday, 10:00 a.m. Complimentary for service members or veterans and up to three immediate family members.

A generous donation from The Home Depot Foundation is allowing Imagine It! To offer free entry to current or former service members and their families. Proper military identification must be present to acquire the free admissions.

2012 Tour of Kitchens

Various homes around Atlanta. Saturday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.; Sunday, 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. $25.

Take a tour of 14 of Atlanta’s most impressive kitchens on this tour sponsored by the Junior League of Atlanta.  The kitchens that you will see have been created by some of Atlanta’s most revered designers and the tour, which runs both Saturday and Sunday will also include demonstrations and tastings by Atlanta chefs.

Rotts 'n Pups Rescue Inc

Rotts ‘n Pups Rescue, Inc. Fundraiser

CW Midtown Complex: Center Stage. Sunday, 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. $45 in advance; $50 at the door.

Help raise money for Rotts ‘n Pups Rescue, a dog rescue dedicated to saving abandoned, unwanted and neglected Rottweilers.  This inaugural fundraiser will feature an open bar and light hors d’oeuvres provided by Alacarte Catering. In addition, there will also be a silent auction, a raffle, door prizes and live entertainment.
