Inman Park Festival

41st Inman Park Spring Festival

Inman Park. Saturday, 11:00 a.m. – 8:30 p.m.; Sunday, 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Free.
With over 250 booths of antiques and handcrafted wares, the annual Inman Park Festival has earned the title of Atlanta’s largest Street Market. Over 150 fine artists will be showcasing their work, and there will be plenty of food vendors on site serving up festival staples like pizza, barbecue, and funnel cakes. Don’t forget to check out the Tour of Homes with eleven homes and points of interest ($15 in advance; $20 this weekend).

Dirty GIrl Mud Run

Dirty Girl Mud Run

Aaron’s Amphitheater at Lakewood. Saturday, check website for available time slots. $75.
Dirty Girl is a 5K mud run/obstacle course designed for women of all ages and athletic abilities. A portion of all registration fees benefit the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Following the conclusion of your wave, celebrate your accomplishment and partake in the post-race festivities, including entertainment, refreshments, merchandise, and sponsor samples.

Lake Lanier Islands Music and Beer Fest

Lake Lanier. Saturday, 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. General admission $36; At the gate $46; VIP tickets $79. 21+
Anchor your boat this weekend for the 2012 Lake Lanier Islands Music and Beer Fest. With over 150 beers available for sampling and three stages featuring local musicians, this event has something for any beer and music lover. Upgrade to the VIP ticket for access to the VIP tent where you’ll find premium craft beer tastings and samples of “beer inspired food.” Oh, and you’ll get an awesome beer fest tee. Designated driver and music lover passes are available.

March for Babies

Downtown Atlanta March for Babies

Georgia World Congress Center. Saturday, 7:30 a.m. Free.

The March for Babies is an annual walk sponsored by the March of Dimes. The money raised by the Nationwide event helps support important research and programs that helps babies lead healthy lives. The 2012 spokesperson, Shaquille O’Neal will be in attendance at this year’s walk.

Buckhead Wine Festival

Buckhead Wine Festival

Andrews Entertainment District. Saturday, 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. VIP Early Admission, $40; Regular Admission, $25 in advance; $35 at the door.  21+.

Wine lovers, head over to East Andrews for the inaugural Buckhead Wine Festival.  This event features complimentary wine tastings, VIP wine seminars, a food drive benefiting the Atlanta Community Foods Bank, a pop-up market, live entertainment, door prizes and more.  King of Pops will be on hand, serving special mimosa popsicles created especially for the event.

Peace, Love & Bugs VW Show

UUCA. Saturday, 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Free.
If you have a soft spot for VW Beetles, this car show is for you! This third annual even will also feature a farmer’s market, a silent auction, food and beverages such as free trade coffee and breakfast items for the early visitors. S&J’s wood fired pizza, cold beer and lemonade will be served in the afternoon. Bring the kids! A bounce house, face painting and crafts will keep them entertained!
