The 2011 New Year’s Eve Nugget Drop
Truett’s Grill in McDonough. Saturday, 7:00 p.m. – midnight. Free.
Finally, a New Years Eve celebration for the whole family! Truett’s Grill is hosting a tasty NYE event, featuring live music, a milk shake & nugget eating contest and fireworks. Little ones 6 and under will have fun in the “Chicken Mini” play area. An obstacle course, mechanical bull, euro-bungee and skeeball are a few of the activities designed for older children and adults.

Tyler Reeve and Seven Handle Circus
Peachtree Tavern. Saturday, 8:00 p.m. $20 advance.
This laidback Buckhead spot is a perfect venue to host up-and-coming bluegrass band, “Seven Handle Circus,” and country-rock soloist Tyler Reeve. Open bar from 9:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.; ticket prices subject to change as event approaches, and we wouldn’t be surprised if this event sells out before Saturday. Also, make sure to grab a copy of 7HC’s new CD after the clock strikes midnight!

ASO New Year’s Eve
Symphony Hall. Saturday, 8:00 p.m. $30-$68.
Combine the vision London and Broadway stage stars Joan Hess and Kirby Ward gliding across the stage, the legendary songs of Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Irving Berlin, and Jerome Kern, and the talented musicians of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and the result is simply breathtaking. For an evening of glamour and elegance, join the ASO and a world-famous pair of dancers this New Year’s Eve.

New Year’s Eve Shizzazzle
Dad’s Garage. Saturday, 8:00 p.m. Ticket + glass of champagne: $35; VIP ticket + glass of champagne: $45.
Gear up for midnight with laughs and a champagne toast at 10:00 p.m- according to the show’s website, “it’s gotta be New Year’s somewhere, right?” After this comedy show ends, you’ll have ample time to make it to other NYE bashes around town.

New Year’s Eve 2011 – Amy Schumer
The Punchline Comedy Club. Saturday, shows at 6:00 p.m., 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. 6:00 p.m. – $30; 8:00 p.m. – $40; 10:00 p.m. – $50.
One of the country’s hottest comedians, Amy Schumer, takes the stage for three hilarious New Year’s Eve performances. Schumer competed on NBC’s Last Comic Standing, as well as Comedy Central’s Reality Bites Back. She was also recognized in April 2011 as one of Splashlife’s “30 Under 30: Comedians To Watch.” With back-to-back shows at 6:00 p.m., 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., you can choose the time that works best for you to catch Amy in action!

Activities for the whole family begin at 11:00 a.m., continuing well into the morning. Don’t miss headlining act, Kansas, who will take the main stage at 11:15 p.m., followed by the descent of the legendary 800 pound Peach and a breathtaking fireworks display!
