Peachtree Hills Festival of the Arts
Peachtree Hills. Saturday, 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.; Sunday, 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Free.
Head down to the beautiful Peachtree Hills neighborhood for an arts festival. The Peachtree Hills Festival of the Arts will include 150 artists booths emphasizing local Georgia artists. In addition, there will be live entertainment and gourmet food trucks. This is a kid and dog friendly event that the whole family can enjoy together. Be sure to bring your blanket and stay for a free presentation of ET on the lawn of the Peachtree Hills Recreation Center on Saturday at dusk.

Brookhaven Beer Fest
Brookhaven. Saturday, 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. $40 in advance; $50 at door. 21+.
There’s no shortage of beer festivals in Atlanta and this weekend brings another – the 2nd Annual Brookhaven Beer Fest. Admission to the festival includes unlimited tasting of over 150 different beers. The festival promises to be larger than last year with plenty of shade. Listen to two bands and a DJ while discovering your new favorite beer.

Hello Kitty at Vans!

The Vans store at Lenox Square is hosting a meet and greet with the one and only Hello Kitty! Shop the second Hello Kitty for Vans collection and get you picture taken with the famous feline! Prizes and giveaways are included at this happening event!

2012 Modern Atlanta Home Tour
Metro Atlanta. Saturday and Sunday, 10:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. $35.
Take a self-guided tour featuring some of the most beautiful contemporary homes in Atlanta. Featured work by Dencity, J. Kelly, Clark & Zook and TaC Studios and many more! Get inspired by learning about the latest trends in contemporary architecture and design.

Red Bull Soapbox Race
Piedmont Park on 10th Street. Saturday, pits open at 10:00 a.m.; First race at 12:00 p.m. Free.
If you’ve never been to a soapbox race before, you must attend this event. With 36 teams and a great course on 10th street, attending this event is the best way to spend your Saturday. Okay, my opinion. But really, this race is fun. If that hasn’t convinced you, I’ll bet you’ll find some free samples of Red Bull floating around as well.

LawJam 2012
Variety Playhouse. Saturday, 6:00 p.m. $20.
Watch as local Atlanta lawyers and their bands battle it out during the 3rd Annual LawJam. Eight bands including Section 8, Class Action, The Working Class and others will duke it out on stage with all proceeds from this fundraiser going to support legal services for low income citizens and local youth programs.
