One of Atlanta’s newest Seafood restaurants is hosting this fun oyster tasting event. Try a variety of different oyster preparations (five in total) with eight sparking wines to compliment the taste of the oysters. If you’re still hungry after the event, you’ll receive 15% off your check if you stay for dinner at Lure.

Atlanta Winter Beerfest
Masquerade. Saturday, 2:o0 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. $40 in advance; $48 at door. Parking available for $10. 21+.
Enjoy beers from 100+ different breweries at the Atlanta Winter Beerfest. There will be live music, food available for sale and lots of fun to be had by all. This event is held indoors so no worrying about the cold temps outside. Cheers!

Public Broadcasting Atlanta and friends hope to unleash a healthier you in 2013. Teresa Tapp, author of “Fit and Fabulous in Fifteen Minutes” and PBA30’s Alicia Steele will make appearances. Check out the expo for mini reflexology massages, food samples, a drawing for a health club membership and more!

Honda Battle of the Bands
Georgia Dome. Saturday, doors open at 1:30 p.m. and show starts at 3:00 p.m. $10 for upper bowl; $12 for lower bowl.
The Honda Battle of the Bands recognizes the marching bands of Historically Black Colleges and Universities and Honda awards more than $205,000 annually in grants to the marching band programs. See eight top bands perform and vote for your favorite. This year Brandy will be the special guest performer.

Bite Size Science Day
Fernbank Museum. Saturday, 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Free.
Show your kids that science can be fun. The Bite Size Science Day is especially for young scientists ages 3-7. There will be fun, hands-on activities that teach kids about gravity, magentas, crystals, constellations and more!
