The Pink Pig 2011

The Pink Pig rides again!!!! For over 50 years, Pricilla the Pink Pig has delighted kids of all ages with her train tour atop Lenox Square Mall. A portion of the ride’s proceeds will benefit Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

Regis Philbin, How I Got This Way

Zaban Park. Sunday, 3:00 p.m. $15 member, $22 non-member. 

With over 40 years in the entertainment industry, Regis Philbin is without a doubt one of the most well-known personalities on television today. Pick up a copy of his memoir, How I Got This Way, during this book signing and have it signed by the legendary man himself.

Indie Craft Experience Holiday Shopping Spectacular 2011

Ambient Plus Studio. Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. Admission: $5, kids 12 & under free.

Bring your holiday list to the largest handmade gift show in Atlanta. Over 100 vendors will be on display, selling jewelry, knitted accessories, artwork, housewares and more. The first 250 attendees each day will receive a swag bag. And The Good Food Truck will be parked outside, ready to serve yummy treats!

Tellabration!

The Carter Library. Saturday, 7:30 p.m. $10.

Tellabration! is worldwide event benefiting and celebrating the art of storytelling. Hosted by the Southern Order of Storytellers, three renowned storytellers will tell their tales during an evening of adult storytelling at The Carter Library and Museum.

Lighting of Atlantic Station

Central Park at Atlantic Station. Saturday. noon – 9 p.m. Free.

The lighting of the tree at Atlantic Station has become an Atlanta tradition, and this year’s all-day celebration features music, arts, crafts, food, fireworks, and more. All of the excitement leads up to the tree lighting on Saturday evening- prepare to be dazzled by the lights, decorations, and festive atmosphere!

Paranormal Expo 2011 Atlanta

Wingate by Wyndham Hotel on Clairmont Road. Saturday, doors open at 10 a.m. Admission: $25 in advance online, $30 at the door (cash only).

This annual conference focuses on the Atlanta Paranormal Community, so there won’t be any shortage of conversation about ghosts, demons, and other paranormal beings/activities. Guest speakers include Harold Berryman, Director of Haunt Analyst (Demonic Hauntings); Elizabeth DeVaney of Atlanta Darkside Tours; Sharon Pugh, Psychic Medium & Animal Communicator; and Dr. Charles Skillas (hypnotherapist), among others.
