The Ugly Sweater Run
Turner Field. Saturday, 11:00 a.m. $30.
You’ve heard of an Ugly Sweater Party, now how about an Ugly Sweater Run? That’s right, same idea, but throw a 5K into the mix. There will be awards for the best sweater, worst sweater, best mustache (real or fake), best beard and more. After the race, hang out at the finish line and enjoy some hot chocolate or some Sam Adams Winter Lager.

Virginia-Highland Tour of Homes
Virginia-Highland. Saturday, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.; Sunday, 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. $25 in advance; $30 day of.
Tour eight featured homes in the beautiful Virginia-Highland area. There will be several different styles of homes to see including a bed and breakfast and a home reminiscent of Frank Lloyd Wright. Local restaurants will provide food tastings in the homes both days and all money raised will support various Virginia-Highland community projects.

Reindog Parade
Atlanta Botanical Gardens. Saturday, 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. $18 per dog plus regular admission rates for humans.
Dogs are taking over the Botanical Gardens for a day. Dress up your pup in his holiday finest to compete for a prize. There will be prizes in the following categories: best puppy, best adult, best botanical, best dog pack, best dog-owner dress alike and just showing off. Parade will be hosted by Animal Planet’s Victoria Stillwell and CNN Correspondent Holly Firfer.

Battle of the Beards
Masquerade. Friday, 7:00 p.m. $20. 21+
Whether your beard is short, medium or reminiscent of ZZ Top, show it off at the Battle of the Beards. There will be several contests with cash and prizes, live music, comedy, vendors and artists. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Boys & Girls Club of Metro Atlanta.

Pajama Party with Mrs. Claus
LEGOLAND Discovery Center. Saturday, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Free admission to event, see website and pre-book for admission to attraction.
Cruise on over to LEGOLAND in your favorite pajamas for a holiday bash! Little ones will be treated to a reading of Twas the Night Before Christmas by the one and only Mrs. Claus! Continue the fun by visiting LEGOLAND-and experience “Santa Takeover!”
